In 1992 I was on a visit to the Dutch island of Texel, and what a place for birds this is!
At Wall en Burg waders were nesting in the meadows and this Redshank came to see what we were up to.
I would take a couple of photographs and it would fly in a circle and land back on the same old gate for me to have another go.
A very helpful subject - I wish they were all as straightforward.
