The boat trip to the Farne Islands makes most people travel light and take only the minimum camera gear.
I made my life difficult by taking the 840mm lens and then almost falling into the sea as I tried get far enough away from these birds to get all of them in the frame.
These puffins were very confiding and not at all afraid of their human visitors - I could easily have got this shot on an 85mm lens.
