Bearded Tit

In 1994 I was asked to lead an expedition to Hungary to assist the BirdLife partner, MME, with a project to save Great Bustards (Otis tarda) during the harvesting of their nest fields. We had a little time off and spent a day at the famous fishponds, the Hortobagy Halasto.
The bird life was amazing and from a hide we watched lots of Bearded Tits flying in and out of their nests in the reeds.
